Hellena Hopkins, PA-C

Knowledge is power. Since a young age I knew I wanted to be in the medical field, which allowed me to keep a singular focus through high school. During my time in college, I was able to narrow the fields of medicine that appealed to me. I received my clinical training at Cook County Hospital Health System while being enrolled at Malcolm X College and St Francis University respectively. I became a Certified Physician Assistant in 2016 and have been driven towards patient care since. I started my career as a Physician Assistant in Psychiatry but found my calling in Pain Management in 2019 when I joined Dr. Rock. Through our team-based approach, we not only work to help patients receive proper treatment, but also ensure they feel a sense of empathy and compassion. Observing how a patient presents to the office is a key aspect to understanding their patterns of pain. It allows us to collaborate as a team in constructing a comprehensive treatment plan. We do our best in coordinating care with the patient’s primary or specialty care providers to give them the best opportunity to address their pain. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you to the best of my abilities.
